Disappointing - Roku 3 Much better buy

I bought this when they 1st came out. Had many problems most resolved with update. But still over priced, no 3d, no other significant improvements over Roku 3. Was hoping Vudu would have Dolby Atmos on HDX with this unit but no. Only good if you have 4K. I do not. Otherwise, Roku 3 is a better box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problems out of the box.

After getting everything plugged in, I went through the initial setup of picking a language and connecting to network over hard wire. A notification of update to be downloaded and installed showed up. After the update was installed, it was stuck at the dancing Roku Logo screen. After 8 hard resets and doing the initial setup again and again. I finally called tech support, who could not understand the description I provided. I chose to try one more time to get the Roku up and running. The 9th time was successful and was very functional until the next morning, when the device was stuck at the dancing Roku Logo Screen again. I decided to return and go with a Roku 3, which should be here in a couple of days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is really great with all the options for streaming. It is fast and reliable except for the remote which seems to freeze frequently. This would be a really fastastic machine if it wasn't for that problem
