Excellent picture quality.

This is my first ever ROKU internet streaming device, I used before a Blue-ray Disk that did not have HBO-NOW available. I give only 4 stars because this ROKU-4 does not have a ON/OFF button, from the first time plug it in power up, is continue on connected to internet, unless I unplugged it from the wall outlet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

ROKU 4: Best entertainment streaming console!

Upgraded our ROKU 3 to the ROKU 4. My wife & I cut our cable TV bill three years ago when we bought our ROKU 3 and haven't looked back. Best decision we ever made! We save upwards of $80.00/mo. It's a no-brainer. Between Netflix & Hulu, there's never a shortage of anything to watch as far as I'm concerned. Combine those with the free channels like Crackle and A&E and The Smithsonian Channel and trust me when I say, we have more than enough ample television at our fingertips.
Having a ROKU in your house makes for a smart way to watch television, also. You aren't spending hours mindlessly clicking through channels. You sit down and watch television in a way that is much more efficient. I know that sounds counter-intuitive or almost like an oxymoron, but you really do watch TV in a smarter way than you ever did or will with cable television. Most channels don't have any commercials and when I say - you watch TV 'smarter', what I mean is you typically sit down with something already in mind.
The difference between the ROKU 3 and ROKU 4 isn't enormous, but it's definitely noticeable. Picture quality does appear to be a little better with 4K capability, as well. I would hesitate to tell anyone who listens to cut their cable bill and buy a Roku.

Great App Selection - Speedy Performance

I received a Roku 4 for Christmas. Coming from an Apple TV 2, this device has been excellent. I was constantly getting random restarts with my ATV2 just streaming Hulu and Netflix. I use the Vudu app a lot on my Samsung Smart TV, so having it on this device is a bonus as it is much faster. Overall performance has been very smooth. I have noticed a couple small glitches in streaming playback where the screen will show a double/split image and zoom-in for a split second. It happens rarely, but still a nitpick that will hopefully be fixed with a software update. The app selection is also second to none.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The BEST Roku yet ... !!!

We live in a small remote area on the border of California with limited resources, we had DSL and Roku 2 and low expectations. Recently we upgraded to Cable and high speed Wi-Fi, obviously our expectations went high with it. ROKU 4 was the answer, it's got everything. The best part is 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, love the remote with headphone jack.

ROKU is the best streaming product on the market, but where it excels is in the technical support when you need it. And, as with any device, machine, or gadget you will at some point need help. The folk handling technical problems at ROKU are the real deal. They will stay with you to resolve the issue no matter how long it may take---Buy this device for the service and don't look back!!!
