Great features

I bought the Roku 4 a couple of days ago and I'm happy with it. I hope that you will have a tv mount soon for it. I wish it was wireless. I wish that you had HGTV available with Xfinity. Other than that is good.

I got the ROKU 4 for Christmas. I found out right away that running the HDMI cable through my HDMI Switch, it would not display 1080P without screen Flashing. That would only go away if I changed to 720p or directly connecting to the HDMI on my TV. I had this same issue with the ROKU 3 and it's really no big deal.
I have had the box reboot a few times, but reading up on this issue, I decided to put something underneath to raise the Roku about 2 inches to get better air flow and haven't had that issue since.
Another issue I have run into is the remote. There are times where the remote will quit working or just the headphones will not work. If the remote stops working, I either have to unplug the unit to re-boot, or use the Android App on my phone to go into settings and pair the remote again.
But whether at 720P or 1080P, the picture is noticeably better than the ROKU3. I do not have a 4K TV yet, so I cannot comment on any of those feature. What I can say is that the ROKU does have a few 4K only channels.
The programming and menu system is the same as on the ROKU 3, but I'm sure that will change in the near future. I can't wait to see what type of programming will be done for the 4.

It is a very good player for the money. Tons of apps and available channels. Got this for my 10 year old and she loves it. Streams music, video, movies and tv. The lost remote finder feature is awesome.

It is fantastic and very easy to learn. It has ever failed on Netflix which my smart blueray dvd would fail all the time. Great video and resolution! Just wish it cam with an operating manual but has been somewhat easy to figure out.

My wife bought this for me for Christmas. I was so excited. I love the features with the exception of the remote: the OK button should be in the middle of the cross like on the old remote, that configuration just works better and is easier to use. The only other thing that is a irritant is that there are way way way way way way too many advertisements, too often, with almost zero variation. The poker game has four ads that repeat over and over again every time you change game and after so many hands. I don't mind a few ads because I know you have to make money, but, you have not done this before and all of a sudden it is dumped out there and now you want money to quit it. Other than that I really like the unit it is so much better than my old one.
I would like to make a program suggestion. On the live TV app where you can go to say, Time Warner Cable, and watch the TV programs that are on at the time and look at what is coming up in the future on those channels you need a channel search where you can key in channel 1200 and go right to it or key channel 59 and go right to it instead of having to scroll through 300 channels to get to the one you want.
I would like to make a program suggestion. On the live TV app where you can go to say, Time Warner Cable, and watch the TV programs that are on at the time and look at what is coming up in the future on those channels you need a channel search where you can key in channel 1200 and go right to it or key channel 59 and go right to it instead of having to scroll through 300 channels to get to the one you want.

We had the Roku 3 and I upgraded to 4 as a Christmas gift to our family. It's definitely worth it if you have a 4k ultra HD TV and would like your streaming device to have the capability to make your movies and shows look as good as possible with a better, faster device. The remote is very easy to use as well. We love it.
