I bought this a month ago and it has come with many glitches. The screen constantly locks where the remote won't change anything and the only way to correct this glitch is by pulling the power cord off. It also often does an auto scroll to the right that I am not doing preventing me from choosing anything. Again the only way to correct this glitch is by pulling the power cord off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have a smart DVD player and a smart TV, but neither of them are as fast as the roku

I had a Roku 2 and decided to upgrade to Roku 4. It is much faster and very easy to set up and use. Very pleased.

Fast, lots of channels, but lacking games

Upgraded from Roku 2 to Roku 4. It's noticeably faster. The voice search makes search much more useful (much faster than picking letters). The headphones on the remote is great too. Otherwise, there don't seem to be any additional features. The inclusion of 4K channels is nice (but I don't have a 4K TV, so not useful for me). There are no real games available still. The Amazon FireTV offers a much greater selection of games. With that said, I don't really think of the Roku as a "gaming" system, but it is nice to have a couple of fun games to play from time to time. The Roku has a better selection of channels available (thought the FireTV is not far behind).

Cons: Goes into sleep mode and it hard to wake up. Remote is slow to act. Powers off will not use screen saver.
Pros: Very fast at loading and streaming, Lots of channels.
