bought this Roku to replace my old unit it works great except cannot upload my Amazon music like what was on my old Roku so far is the only problem I have encountered.

Excellent Media Player

Overall, I am highly satisfied. The selection of content is excellent, and Roku 4 is extremely responsive and fast. I am disappointed with the current lack of 4K HDR support, specifically Dolby Vision from VUDU. This would be a great addition for a future update, if Roku 4 hardware supports it. I was also disappointed that the HDMI video output cannot be manually switched between YCbCr and RGB color space and 8-12 bit sampling. Some video switchers and TVs/projectors perform better with certain formats and bit depths. Roku 4 automatically chose 8-bit RGB, which is not ideal in my system. A manual selection in addition to the default automatic option would be nice. There was also no reference to Dolby Atmos audio output in Roku 4's setup menu, even though it is supposed to support Atmos. I don't have an Atmos processor yet, so I can't confirm if Roku 4 will actually output the Atmos bitstream from providers such as VUDU. Some reference and/or confirmation of Atmos support in the audio setup menu would be nice. Roku 4 is a cutting edge device, and a lot of users like me either want Dolby Atmos now or will very soon. Regardless, an excellent device and highly recommended!

I've only had the Roku 4 for a few days but already love it. Great interface and love how easily it connects with our Amazon Prime account. Only drawback is I wish it could browse the internet.

A Must Have For All 4K TV Owners

I have a Roku 3, but since I bought a Samsung SUHDTV 4K curved screen the Samsung *Smart TV* streaming section of the TV just wasn't cutting it. It was slow, sloppy controls and didn't have that many channels that I wanted. So I bought the new Roku 4.
Out of the box it wouldn't manually scan for my wireless network with the current firmware. I had to manually enter my SSID, which is the name of the network for those of you who don't know what your SSID is and then entered the password. It then connected to my network's wifi 5G and downloaded the most current firmware. It then updated all my current Roku 3 channels associated with my Roku account automatically, which was 128 channels and then I manually added some 4K channels. I have 11 of the 14 offered as of this review.
The Roku 4 has 4K streaming channels not offered on other Roku devices. Even Netflix has 4K content for a few dollars more a month. Even though my TV up converts to 4K the picture on my TV looks better with the 2160p Roku 4 over the 1080p Roku 3 up convert.
My Roku 4 gets a little warm, but never gets hot and that's with me streaming 4K video from Netflix for over 18 hours continuously on many weekends and holidays. That was enough to convince me that if it had a heat issue mine would have surely glitched, slowed down or crashed, but it ran as smooth as butter everytime I used it 18 hours...
If you're like me and have all the premium movie channels on cable or satellite like HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, EPIX, Starz and Encore they look better on my 4K TV using the Roku 4 over the Roku 3. Wish Cinemax would get Max Go on Roku too!
I have nothing but good things to say about the Roku 4, my only real complaint is that more companies need to get off their butts and get Rok4 4K streaming channels up and going because 4K isn't some fad. It's here to stay and the audience is growing bigger everyday!
If you have a 4K TV and high speed Internet access the Roku 4 will be your UHDTV's or SUHDTV's savior in delivering the most 4K content available.
I'm extremely happy with my Roku 4 purchase, with that said there are some people who will get bad or defective Roku 4s. Nothing is 100%, but that's why stores have a return policy so you can buy with confidence! If you're on the fence about getting the new Roku 4 for your 4K TV stop the procrastination and buy it! It was my best entertainment purchase for 2015 after my 4K SUHDTV purchase!
I also think the Roku 4 is an excellent value considering what alot of electronic entertainment devices cost these days.

Dropped the 7 sec skip back button

If you don't have a 4K now or plan to get one very soon go with the Roku 3. The 3 has the skip back button. HBO, Showtime and others offer CC for the skip back when you need to go back to read what was said. That is the only way to access that feature.

I'm Overwhemingly Amazed and VERY Happy!

This device is really a well thought of streaming device that I can call a true Chrod Cutting device. The picture display was way beyond my expectations, the amount of content was way beyond my expectations, I just cannot write all the great technical and consumer friendly themes with this product. For anyone looking to upgrade from the 2 or 3, it is WELL worth the extra money, well worth the time. By comparison, it by far is advanced and better than any other product in its class. I won't mention names, but I also upgraded a 3 device to a 4 device, and was totally disappointed, however, the Roku 4 by far is an amazing true 1080P and UHD Streaming device with tons of choices, so much content, apps that were cleverly and specifically designed for this new upgrade! Well done Roku!!!!
