We love the Roku 4

We upgraded from a 2 to a 4 and we are so glad we did. The installation was so easy and the remote is top of the line. We can be anywhere in our den and kitchen and the signal is awesome. I am so pleased with the ROKU 4 and my only regret is not purchasing it sooner!

Not Ready for Prime Time

Have had for a little over two weeks and have already had to get a replacement. The first unit would stop transmitting a picture, just a blank white screen after the boot up. Picture quality is somewhat less than over the air, even though it is supposedly a higher quality picture. I have 50Mbps internet so speed is not a problem. I not so sure that the quality is there with this unit as my Roku 3 performs much better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lack of Apple mirroring

Bought the Roku 4 over the Apple TV because of Roku's 4K streaming capability. However the mirroring features on Roku only work for a handful of Android and Windows devices and is still labeled as "beta" in the system menu. The streaming choices are strong but selecting 4K / UHD streaming resulted in a little graininess when compared with SmartTV hub on OLED tv (internet dwnld speeds of 75mbps+ so wifi strength is NOT the root cause).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second Roku 4. 1st got very hot and loud fan noise. This one does not have these issues. Very pleased.

Great Color

You can get it in any color as long as it is Black.
Should come with a small set of instructions instead of relying on Internet to look stuff up. Example: What is the A. And. B buttons for on the remote.
Did not install like the web site stated. When you rely on software developers to write installation instructions it's like trying to understand what a Doctor is telling you. Suggestion: Go and get 6 people off the street from ages 40' 50' 60' 70 and set behind each one as they install the item using the directions and find out where the problems are.

I purchased both the Amazon fire tv box and the roku 4. Needless to say I prefer the Roku 4. I have the Amazon fire tv in m y kids room because I feel thats where it is better suited and so it don't go to waste. I have the Roku 4 in my room and I love it.
