Better Than Older Roku But...

Roku 4 is dramatically faster than the previous models. And, that it doesn't look like a hockey puck in my entertainment center is a real plus. But, the content is still the same as the Roku two with the same trappings. If you need to have a cable account or pay for apps content you are only exchange the cost of the cable subscription for each individual premium apps which can be equal or more than cable. And, if you get the free app content, you get commercials. These two reasons are the purpose of buying a Roku type device. Lower the cost of the pay apps and remove at least a third to 2/3 of the commercials for those type of apps. But, in regards to the Roku 4 hardware it is the top (5 stars).

Great box to help replace cable...great remote, easy to setup! the picture is stellar! the options for adding channels is easy...the games are a little limited the they look a little basic versus the Firestick...but this is best one as compared to all of the rest like Apple TV and Firestick...those interfaces stink and limited channels with the other devices...I bought 3 of the Roku boxes to replace my cable...will never go back to cable!

Constantly freezes, have to reset once a week. The wifi remote is "too fancy" and lags on performance. Finally gave up and put my Ruku1 back

I wanted it for my 4-K TV. Since I couldn't get 2 to work I figured you haven't got all the the problems worked out so I didn't try a 3rd one.

Bad picture

Got a 4K Roku, nice picture, but every few seconds the screen would flicker blue. Worked with it for 4 hours, still flickering blue. My 4K TV is HDCP 2.2, all connections were right. Returned product to store.

Bought this thinking it would be an upgrade from the Roku 3 but I was sadly mistaken. Biggest problem is that I watch something and it ends, I have to return to the homescreen to watch something else because a new program/episode will not load. This happens on Netflix, HBO Now, Hulu, Amazon Prime...basically every app. This doesn't happen on my Roku 3 that I have in my bedroom. HUGE disappointment. If Roku fixes this, then yes, it's worth it, but now right now. Unhappy camper at this point. They probably won't post this but oh well.
