Good Channel Access

I've never had a ROKU before; the closest thing was having a movie service streaming through the internet. ROKU gives you adequate access to many channels. I've even turned off my cable and use ROKU exclusively, though I still use physical movies here and there.
I do, however, have some suggestions:
- Channel Programming - If you would change the way you select channels and make it much more accessible. I don't want to have to leave my TV-ROKU setup to go to my PC and look up ROKU channel settings just to access an individual channel. If you'd program to allow us to look up channels and immediately watch, that would be helpful. If you'd change channel icons to have a symbol that identifies subscription requirements or cable requirements that would also be wonderful.
Thanks for listening - I do enjoy it even though I spent a lot of time justsearching for what I want then finding out I can't use them without paying. I'd like to enjoy all of the free stuff first!

Works great

I purchased the Roku 4 to pair up with my Netgear Nighthawk router to improve my SlingTV watching. The device arrived very quickly but try as I might it refused to work. After two calls to support and a chat session with support, I was sent a new Roku 4. The second one hooked up and worked fine. I can now stream video with no drop out or waiting for them to download. One thing that I discovered with this device is that I did not need to use the Netgear N900 video adapter I had been using to extend the range of my router. The 4 connects with the router on the 5G band faster than it did with the N900. Great results, better than I expected.

Excellent Upgrade

I loved my Roku 3 and love the Roku 4 even more. It's a bit snappier when navigating and the features are excellent. No problems and no issues.

My First Streamer

Have had Roku 4 for about a month and I'm generally satisfied. Finding channels to watch is "like a box of chocolates" (you never what you'll get). If what you want is live streaming news, use a web browser, free roku news channels aren't there yet. If what you want to do is replace cable or satellite, be prepared to pay for channels you want to watch. If you want to archived movies and don't mind watching the same commercials over and over it's great. The better "free" channels use commercials that you can't fast forward through. Be prepared to watch the same 4 commercials all day, randomly selected so that sometimes you get the same commercial played 3 times in a break. Some channels (showtime now) seem not to work well and will lock up.

No need for cable or satellite

ROKU+Smart TV+Internet=NO NEED 4 CABLE OR SATELLITE. A lot cheaper this way. Me & my ol' lady r HAPPY. I recommend 2 ALL :)

I would constantly have to restart the roku because it would freeze in the middle of watching something. By the end of the week it would not turn on.

Will not boot

I have a 3 that I love but my Roku 4 only lasted about a year. It will no longer boot up. Very disappointing!

Everything great except heat issue

Great features become useless if you can't use the player. The player becomes extremely hot and incapable of being used
