Still the best for me

I bought my first Roku in 2005. Six years ago that one was relegated to the garage workshop (still going strong) for Pandora and I bought an XS. The XS was retired this week to the guest room. The new Roku 4 was installed at the big TV in the living room. Like the first ROKUs, the '4" required almost no setup and it was on line in a few minutes. When I saw the display for the first time I was reminded that ROKU is still the best for me. In the last year I tried two Android based devices. One a big brand name. The other less well known. From the UI to the remote, they fell way short of the experinece I wanted from a streaming media player, so I came back to ROKU. I use ROKU primarily to stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and PlayOn, and, to play music and videos from my own collection. The '4' does all that and includes support for the latest technologies, like AC Wireless and 4K. Also, as always, it has a great selection of APPS for other providers. And, oh yes, the remote works great! A con? The price seems a little steep but I shopped around and found a good price from a local seller.

Easy to use so many feature!

after comparing Roku to Apple TV and Amazon Fire Tv we settled on Roku. Although we are an Amazon Prime member, both Amazon fire tv and AppleTv were biased to their own services. Roku featured more of what we wanted in a TV

I purchased it last week and I love it better than the Roku 3. I would like it to be more network stations i.e. OWN, Oxygen, Hallmark, BET, Spike Tv. and TNT. Overall I like the device.

Excellent picture with 4K

Typical Roku set up, had trouble getting unit to wake up with remote, (had to unplug base unit or push remote finder) it needs a "Sleep now" in the main menu or on the remote itself.

Best Roku to have

I received this as a gift and let me tell you, it is the greatest thing ever. We also have an older model of the Roku and it works fine, but the 4 just blows it out of the water. It's thinner than the other players but it is also bigger. It has extra ports in the back to hook up devices or whatever type of internet you may have. When loading things appear to move much faster than older models. The only downside is that it requires an hdmi hookup for the tv and does not come with an hdmi cable.
