Better Than Fire TV

I purchased this unit about a week ago. It was a replacement for the new Fire TV that I received as a Christmas gift. I sent back the Fire TV. It dropped movies and shows and buffered after just a few minutes. It may have been defective. I have enjoyed the Roku 4 and it shows UHD very well. No buffering and excellent quick response to any command. I have not had a noise problem. The unit just works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything works great, a lot faster than our Roku 1. Only complaint is I wish it had a new and different user interface. It's identical to the purveyors roku devices and it would be cool if it had a more sleek and modern UI.

Everything about it is fantastic. The 2 HBO and Showtime apps make signup confusing (one works with cable company subscriptions, the other doesn't).

So Far, So Good

Only had it 2 days now, but I love it!!
Had 2 Amazon new generation Fire TV and they stunk !! Would turn tv back on, so dumped them, bought the roku, and so far very happy, to me best device out there!!
Sure beats paying for cable!!!

Good player over but could improve in some aspects

I have the roku 4 for about 2 weeks now and overall I like it. My only dislikes are that:
N°1- doesn't have almost no integration with Google apps. Would be great to have support for Google play music for example and others.
N°2 - the overall look of the UI looks a little bit dated (at least for me). Kinda reminds me the apple TV player layout.
N°3 - Doesn't support KODI. That's an awesome option that I think you guys should consider in the future.
Whit that being said, this player has a lot of good thinks in his favor that I like. The option to have an SD card for extra storage is pretty nice. Also the player is very fast loading everything you through at it with no problem, I haven't experienced any buffering or lag yet whatsoever. Another cool feature is the remote finder. That's pretty convenient if you're like me who puts the remote in every place and forgets where it is.
So I think with a refreshed image (UI) and some other minor details I think this can be the perfect player.

Just like my roku 3 but, it's a 4. Lots of 1080p viewing but, 4K viewing not so much. In any event, very happy with my R4!
