Love my roku 4.

I bought this about a month ago. Paired it with an LG 4k smart tv. I LOVE IT!!! The processor (using Internet apps through wifi) seems faster using this than the apps built into the tv. Also, the 4k videos are awesome. It is easy to setup. Choose the apps you prefer and they update while you search for more apps to download. Once complete, simply sign into your accounts and BAM!!!, you are watching your videos. LOVE IT!!!

4k software needs work

I have owned Roku 1, 2 and 3. Each seem to be an improvement over the other - Then the Roku 4 came along promising 4k. Well it's been over a month and the Roku 4 will not do an HDCP "handshake" when connected to my home theater system thru my DENON X7200WA (HDCP 2.2). I get no picture. When I plug it directly into the HDMI on my Vizio M-series which is 4k, it works. Funny how the rest of my 4k stuff plugged into my Denon works just fine. I don't recommend this product - stay with the Roku3 or earlier and save yourself a major headache

Don't write many reviews, but felt compelled to with this product because it's so great. I was previously relying on the smart TV features on my 4 yr old Samsung. I bought the Roku 4 looking hoping to add some capability and got what I asked do plus more. I experienced a huge improvement in picture quality over using the same apps on the smart tv. Specifically Netflix, Amazon and YouTube. Also, the speed at which the apps run has increased as well. I no longer wait for Netflix to search titles or load my show. App availability is excellent as well along with an easy guided setup. The Voice search feature is very useful as well. Overall, extremely pleased with the purchase and may get a few more for my other TV's.

I have been wanting one for sometime and finally bought one. I was a little taken back about the set up fee, but it was well worth it. The Roku works better then my smart TV and has a better picture.

I had a Roku 3 it and the other items om on TV all went bad at one time so I bought a Roku 4 to update . I have always liked the Roku so easy to access the programs.

Tons of apps / Neat remote feature / Runs well

We all know television is moving from channels to apps and Roku4 doesn't disappoint. Plenty of apps to choose from and LOVE the Netflix and Amazon buttons on the remote itself. Quick access. Also like the idea of listening to a movie via the earbuds. Won't use this feature much, but it's a good option to have.
I'm an Apple guy so it was a bit of a stretch for me to not buy the new AppleTV, however, Apple's lack of optical cord was my deal-breaker. The way my home theater system was set-up, this was going to be a pain and it's annoying anyway (to not include it). I was also disappointed Apple didn't include the Amazon app as I'm a Prime member.
I just got the Roku for xmas so the jury is still out, but overall, it's good so far and streams just fine. My only (mild) complaints are not having the remote keys light up (getting spoiled with X1's remote now) and the interface is less than desirable and a bit clunky to get from screen to screen. But again, I'm just learning the Roku environment and I'm sure it will approve over time.

4K Goodies!

This device (Roku4) is a goodie when it comes to 4K (other similar devices do not stream 4K but this one does). It works very well. Good job ROKU!
