My remote stopped working with the roku 4 after a month. Nothing works. I did everything to reset it but nothing.

I have been using the Roku player for two weeks now and am getting good at finding movies and shows to watch. I really like the voice search option. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is a light on the remote so I can see the buttons in dim light.

Wonderful product

My husband bought the Roku 4 for me so the kids could have the Roku 2 XD for their game room. I love the Roku products. Great streaming with close to zero buffering. I have an Internet tv and prefer my Roku for usability.
Cons of the Roku 4 remote: The Roku 4 remote broke the first time I dropped it. It is just the little clip on the battery door, but it is very annoying. I have dropped every remote we have owned and never broken one. My Roku 2 remote has held up for years.

Too many drop offs and restarts

I still find that I get too many dropoffs and restarts of programming even though Roku 4 is supposed to be faster than 3. I even have a Linksys AC1200 Range Extender to boost WiFi. I can watch identical programs in the same location on my TV using Roku4 and on my iPad. The iPad never has a drop off. or a restart while the Roku4 has several during a 45 minute program. The Roku 4 also gets very hot. Seems like the fan can't handle it.

Nice Machine, couple of minor things

After 5 weeks of service the Roku went dead but perked up after a reboot. That has only happened once. The only other thing is that the remote requires a firm touch compared to my Roku 3 I use in the basement.
All in all, I prefer using the Roku over the software in my Samsung smart TV. I strongly recommend them to anyone who streams a lot.

Easy setup, Lots of titles to pick from and lots of apps to chose from. Down loads faster than Roku 1.

Terrible Roku Player!

I would not recommend buying a Roku 4. Buy a Roku 3 instead. Roku 4 disconnects from the remote EVERY TIME you don't use the Roku for a few hours. If you try to bypass using the remote by using your cell phone Roku remote app, then you get a purple screen when playing Netflix. Therefore I have to reboot the Roku EVERY TIME I use it to get it to work properly ONLY for that time. The next time I have to reboot it again. Complete pain to use! I am terribly unhappy with my purchase of the Roku 4.
