It's better to get cable. For all pay per view. A lot of free apps are not working.

Awesome Entertainment System

Have set up four televisions with Roku...2 Roku 3s and 2 Roku 4s and are about to transition from Cable to the streamline channels and expect to save some $100 monthly...You pick and choose your channels and built up the entertainment programming you wish to watch...
This a great alternative to paying 100s for channels you don't need or watch on cable programming and you pick the movies, TV shows and series you wish to watch without the commercials and or interruptions from your vast library of channels...
It will take time to get use too, so be patient, but once you get set up and learn how to use this awesome device, you won't go back.

Love this machine

My son bought the Roku 4 for me for Christmas and I absolutely love it! I've completely gotten rid of cable. The picture quality is excellent, the selection is wonderful, in fact, there is so much more than what I had with cable. My son bought the 4 which has the find the remote feature. I managed to lose the remote within the first 24 hours and very easily set up my tablet as a remote. My son stopped up and I was telling him I lost the remote and he said, "Mom, that's one of the reasons I bought the 4" and he showed me how to hunt for the remote! Found it right away. Love, love, love the Roku!!

Big Improvement over earlier Roku Models

I purchased the Roku 4 last week. I had a previous model that I bought 2 years ago. The new one is much faster and has more storage capacity so that there have been no "time outs" thus far. Our router is upstairs on the opposite end of the house and although we have a router booster, I found that if I moved the booster a little closer to the Roku, reception is perfect and very fast. The setup took hours before we moved the router booster closer, but after moving it, the setup was completed in a flash.
