Roku 4 is Super Great Unit

Very happy with our new Roku 4 Unit. Easy to install and standard setup, same as other Roku units we've owned. Appears to be a better picture as well. Very happy!

Make sure you get a TV with HDCP 2.2 HDMI Ports

Just purchased a 55" Samsung TV. The first one I purchased could not find the Roku4 signal even though Samsung said all their ports were HDCP2.2 Compatible. After 20 hours on the phone with Roku4, Samsung and Costco Tech support with no answer, I returned the TV for a newer model of the first TV and it is HDCP2.2 compatible but the Roku4 still has to hunt for the 4K signal each time no matter which of the three ports on the Samsung TV you plug it into. It always comes and says cannot connect but finally finds it and powers up. So just watch if you purchase a Roku4 it will work with the 4K TV you have and give you that 4K resolution on the programs that broadcast in 4K. (3840 x 2160)

Better way to watch TV

I have an internet connected smart TV already, but Roku made it easier to access all choices. I also have a Roku stick and Roku 3 in other rooms. I don't see enough options in R4 to greatly recommend over the better priced stick. Major design flaw is the enter button should be in the center of the arrows not below. And built into the remote are 4 channel shortcuts of which one channel doesn't exist anymore.
Love Roku, just not impressed enough to recommend over less expensive Roku options.

I think something is wrong with Roku 4.

I think something is wrong with this new Model Roku 4. It gets very hot when in use and it constantly LOCKS UP and I have to unplug it and start over.

I already have a Roku in my bedroom so when I redid my living room and put a TV in there, the option to get another Roku was a no brainer. This little device is great!

Bought first one and had it about a week. Then took it back due to over heating and wife could only watch HGTV on our other three TV's that use Roku 3. Waited about a month and went out on a limb to try again only this time also got a cooling pad. It runs better now. Still issues with HGTV. I prefer to unplug while away from home. The plus is 4K with a 4K TV. It is very nice. At this point stay away from Roku 4. Stay with Roku 3.

Very good features

Great asset to our tv watching capabilities. Roku works great with one exception. It will not wake up from sleep, so I have to leave it on all the time. Kind of a bummer, since all else works great. This seems like it should have been programmed better.

The equipment get to hot!

after few days of work, the Roku 4, get very hot, somethink that I dont understand, I check under it to see if was somethink that it get in hot, but no it´s the same equipment that get hot!
