Fast performance!

I brought the roku 4 a couple weeks ago and I must say, it was well worth the investment! Fast performance and it streams a lot of channels in 4k. Very impressed!

Great content and easy to use, but feels cheap

I decided to buy the Roku 4 after dealing with mounting frustration with the 4th Generation Apple TV, thinking that I could get a comparison and keep the one that worked best for me. More than a week into using the Roku, and I still can't decide which is the better choice.
The Roku was easy to setup, and inputting passwords, etc. was MUCH easier than the terrible 'swipe across a seemingly endless horizontal line' input interface on the Apple TV. I also really love the fact that Roku is *almost* platform agnostic (MGo does get pushed just a little bit) and allows me to access Google Play Movies and Amazon Prime Video -- neither of which is present on the Apple TV for fairly obvious reasons. Videos play nice and smooth and I haven't had any problems with channels/apps crashing, etc.
That said, the Roku 4 feels cheap in comparison. The remote is a slimy, slippery plastic and has squishy, rubbery buttons (including a pre-programmed button for the now defunct Rdio). The UI has a childish feel and is difficult to look at -- particularly the fonts and loading/progress bars, etc. Additionally, it somehow feels slightly underpowered as content takes much longer to load than I've become accustomed to. I haven't had any issues with fan noise, etc. that I'd heard about prior to purchasing.

We've had Apple products all the way till the Roku. The only thing that sucked was the rdio button that doesn't work. The only way it can improve is with the content and maybe an easier way to navigate through its current library.
