Bye bye cable!

I cancelled my cable subscription and have no regrets thanks to my roku. And I still get to watch the Super Bowl live thanks to Rokus free cbs sports channel.

Easy set up. Great device. Happy with all features especially with combining Roku with Tablo. Only thing it's missing is a power button on the remote. Otherwise it's perfect.

Great Cable Alternative but Needs Work

A step in the right direction for cable alternatives for sure. Saving $100 on cable a month now. I can't wait to see how Roku innovates in the next few years. There are a few major issues though. Slow loads, channel/app freezing and buffering happens way too often. I have 150 mbps of Internet, and Roku is the only device in my house that has issues with connection. I usually have to go to home screen and back in the app to fix, little annoying since it happens frequently. Hulu works more smooth on my PS4. Voice detection sucks and never works. Set up and logins are tediously long since you have to type so much info and the system and remote is slow.

We are happy so far with the Roku 4. The unit is very fast and access to the apps we want are without equal. We are disappointed with the audio quality of the Spotify app. It sounds terrible and we are paying for premium. We have decided not to use the Roku for Spotify as our PS3 sounds better and is easier to use for Spotify. Also I would love the ability to continue to play music on Pandora or other music apps while browsing movies or streaming pictures.

Great features

Tried Roku 3 for several weeks while staying at her house and fell in love with it. Which convinced me to purchase a Roku 4 as I have a newer newer model of TV. It is super!

Awesome player, lacks (a bit) in WiFi connnection

Slick design, cool UI, exceptional streamer with multitude public and private channels. The only drawback - it cannot connect to 5Ghz 802.11ac WiFi over 80Mhz (1300mbps) channel.

It makes it easy to tie my existing streaming accounts together in one place. My only challenge is adding channels. It seems like there has to be an easier way.
