Poor internet speed connection

This new version barely gets into hex range whereas prior models had no trouble

We bought the Roku 4 one week ago. We did have a problem with at first, that it would not turn on. I called the 800 number and they told me to return it and exchange it. We got another one and all went well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not as smooth as the Roku 3

I have had the Roku 3 for a long time and I have had nothing but good experiences. The Roku 4 has been fine but there have been a few quirky things. The one that irked me the most was an issue with the headphones. They went all scratchy and choppy. I finally found a forum that explained that if I reset my remote the issue would solve itself. This worked but it was pretty annoying. Overall I would give this an average rating but I have still not had the chance to use it for 4K material which is one of the primary reasons for getting the 4. Perhaps I will check back in then

Great Streamer

I bought 2 Roku 4's. Both of them work flawlessly. I've had no issues with freezing up or fan noise. 1 player is hooked up to a Visio 4K UHD and the other to a Philips HD. The players go to sleep when not used and spring to life when I hit the remote OK button. Both players run slightly warm, neither one runs hot. I have them both hard wired to a 100 mb/s internet service. The optical out audio also works great. I'm very satisfied with these Roku 4's. I had trouble with my Amazon Fire Stick freezing up with the wireless connection, no problems with the Roku 4's.

simple to install

Only took a few minutes to install and we were watching free tv. If I would have know about this sooner I could have saved myself alot of money on cable bills.
