Best streaming device I have owned to date I used to stream through my Samsung blu ray player what a difference night and day I had extremely high internet speed internet 75/75 mbps upload and download speeds and my old player would still buffer this has not buffered and it is giving the speed I expect. Great fantastic product I am very happy will buy the Roku 5 if it comes out I like it that much

Solid device; remote evolving in wrong direction!

I've had a long succession of Rokus, and have generally been pleased with the evolution of the UI, apps and its overall capabilities. This one is no exception -- it's noticeably faster and smoother. However I can't give it a full endorsement for a simple yet important reason: the remote is evolving in the wrong direction! The remote got appreciably smaller from the 2 to the 3, and the buttons changed -- shorter travel, stiffer, and a more satisfying "click" feel. But now on the 4, the remote's buttons have a mushy, muddy feel; the kind of feel one would expect a Roku 3 remote to have after years of abuse. It's incredibly distracting, and given it's the only interface for the device, it unfortunately ruins the entire experience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We really enjoy using our Roku devices. We have have two Roku 4 four our UHD/4k TVs that we recently purchased. It is simply to use for everyone in our household.

My Best Tech Purchase Ever

Super simple to set up, literally took minutes. Sleek looking and easy to find a place to set up. A lot of free programming. I love the App and the options for wireless connectivity.

Roku 4 - a great product

I bought a Roku 4 a week ago on the recommendation of a co-worker, and I already love it. It's so easy to set up and to use, and the viewing choices are endless. I don't have much time for TV, maybe 3 or 4 hours a week, so I like to watch worthwhile programs in the little time that I do watch TV. With the Roku 4, I can watch what I want to watch, when I want to watch it. I'm seriously considering buying a Roku for every one of my TVs and canceling my cable service.
