Love all my Roku'S

I Have 3 Roku's stick, #3, and the new # 4 and lovem them all. I need two more as I am moving to the boonies and have 5 TV's.
The only thing I wish is that the remotes light up. But that is the least of the problem. I will use the Roku and a 150 mile antenna to get the major channels and I will be set.
You cannot beat the Roku.

I have had the Roku 2 for over a year, and I can't imagine viewing TV without it. The new Roku gives even more options than the older models, it has opened up even more options.plus, it is so portable it can be taken just about anywhere.

The Fastest Roku Yet!

I own Fire TV's, Fire Sticks, Apple TV, Roku 2, Roku Sticks and Roku MHL Sticks. This is my favorite streaming device yet. I am a big fan of Apple and Amazon branded products nobody can hold up to the selection of apps that Roku has (only device with NFL Sunday Ticket streaming app). This device is definitely the most powerful one yet. I also notice that my buffering and lag is almost non existant, and as you can tell I have a house full of streaming devices.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought last month and only one complain about small fan noise coming from roku 4 and some time you can even here that when you watching tv

Still not what is should be.

I have used a lot of these media streamers, this one is just slightly better than the Roku 3.
First the interface is still a bit clumsy. There is a lot of scrolling to get to what you want. The “Channel” icons on the left are huge and only allow for 9 channels to be shown at one time. There are other Themes you can buy, but the one that comes with the Roku should be the good one. The main menu with Home… Settings… News… should be at the bottom leaving room at the top for the Channel icons. TV’s are more wide than tall; this would give more room for the Channel icons.

You still cannot set a static IP address. We use this particular Roku in a business environment and this device took over an IP that was being used for a Backup Server. I excluded that particular IP and then it decided to take a different IP used by a printer. Give us the option to put in a static IP.
To streaming media from the USB drive. You need to install an app or buy one. This should be a staple Channel. Instead my screen is filled with things you think I want.
Screen Saver, there is no way to set your pictures on a USB drive to become the screen saver.
The plus Side – the system is faster and does 4k. It streams media/Netflix/hulu and amazon really well.
The Roku 4 feels like a more powerful Roku 3 with 4k.

Almost Perfect But One Fatal Flaw

I've been a Roku fan for years. We currently have two Roku 3 units as well as an old Roku LT box being used in our house. Having recently purchased a new 4K Samsung TV, I was very excited to find that a 4K capable Roku was available.
With one exception, everything about the Roku 4 is perfect. It has the usual simple setup, a wonderful remote with voice search, excellent audio and video, the best app/channel selection, etc. The problem with the Roku 4 is the inclusion of a cooling fan. I've always been sensitive to fan noise coming from my home theater equipment, so perhaps its just me, but the fan noise from the Roku 4 is very distracting. I tried two different units and the fan noise was the same. I did not have a defective unit, as some other folks with extremely loud fan noise have claimed on various internet forums.
I'm really sorry that I couldn't keep the Roku 4, but the fan noise was simply too audible and too distracting. I've gone back to my trusty Roku 3 and, when I want to watch 4K video, I use the apps built in to my Samsung TV. They work perfectly.
Here's hoping for a "revised Roku 4, version 2" without a fan sometime soon!

Solid device - like the headphone plug on the remote but I wish the A & B buttons were assignable.. Runs warm all the time but can be turned off ( sleep) in settings. Why isn't this the default behavior?
