I have a iPhone and the iPad I was going by the Apple TV but this was a better choice have a lot of good features

The best media player hands down!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I am very happy with my purchase. I previously owned the Roku 3 and was reluctant to upgrade. I'm glad I did. The remote finder feature is excellent and I have noticed significant improvement in the video and sound quality. Voice search is top notch, and transitioning from 3 to 4 was a snap. All of my settings transferred with the upgrade.

I would like to think I helped the Roku Revolution (well maybe around here). I've had Roku for many years. I would talk it up when I was shopping and now it's in stores! I will never go back to cable or satellite. Even when your not sure what's going on the customer support is fantastic. Just got the fancy #4. Love it! Do yourself a favor get one- you won't be sorry at all!!!

Love my Roku!

I bought this so I could use it for the TWC TV app to stream my cable channels without having to rent a cable box. This works so perfect you cant even tell its streaming thru the internet. Picture is amazingly clear. Works really well on Youtube also. The new quad core processor has been a big plus, and I like the fact this model has a small fan on the inside. I think the previous models didnt and they would overheat. I had to go into the settings to enable the fan when I set it up. Seems like it would come with it enabled as a default. I doubt most people would even know to go in and turn it on. Really happy with my purchase. There is a lot of free content out there, you just have to sit down and look for it because it does exist.

Cons: The Roku 4 works well, It does freeze up quite a bit, usually while moving through the menus, it hasn't froze while viewing any thing. There is no significant speed change from the Roku stick, and my stick doesn't lock up, so i' m not sure if its a software issue or a hardware issue. I do get runs where the remote seem to have a stuck button, uncontrollable scrolling, but the buttons are not stuck, again a glitch in the software I think.
Pros: IMO Roku, It's still the Best bet to cut the Cable.
