Great Alternative to Cable

I purchased Roku 4 less than a week ago because I wanted to scale back my cable subscription costs. I am happy with the Roku device, and the ease of setup. I can watch my favorite network shows and recent movies when time permits. I hope you expand the availability of streaming of cable news such as MSNBC.

A whole new way to experience TV

It took me a while to make the plunge, and it has taken me a bit to get used to, but I'm glad I did and am not looking back. What took me a while to get used to is not being tied to watching TV when "they" wanted me too. Now I can watch what and when I want to. What a difference!

great features but first one stopped working

I had to return the first one after 3 weeks because it wouldn't start up. So far so good with the second one

Not 4K ready

Not 4K ready. I just bought a brand-new 4K TV and was so excited when I purchased my Roku four. The packaging said that the HDMI cable was included. What I didn't say is that it is not a 4K HDMI cable so all content is still in 1080P. The NHL network app does not work. I'm not sure Roku is to blame but the app works on other devices. Another issue is that I can't stream from my iPhone as I can on my Apple TV. I am not sure that the Roku is a good fit if you have an iPhone. Finally, I can't find a way to browse the Internet with my Roku. There does not seem to be a web browser app available yet. If you're looking for a quality streamer the Roku is fine but it definitely has limitations.
