A very capable set top box

I have been using the Roku 4 for about a month. It was easy to set up. The interface is pretty nice and responsive. I am currently using it on a 1080p TV, so I can't comment on the 4K output, but hopefully this year, that will change. I will mainly use it for Amazon and Vudu, so all the channel choices (and there are MANY) are not so important to me. I am very happy with the unit, but the remote is disappointing (deducted a star for it). It is small and it is NOT backlit. To make things worse, all the buttons feel the same. On the plus side, you don't have to point the remote at the box.

Great device

Had audio issues with the first two Roku 4 I bought but this may have been the way I configured the wiring versus the actual device. If other people are experiencing the same problem with audio lag via a sound bar, connect the Roku straight to the TV via HDMI, then connect TV to the sound bar with a digital optical cable.
PROS: Very crisp and clear picture. Fast response time with the apps. Easy set-up (plug and play), User friendly
CONS: Sometimes the machine does not come out of sleep easily, I would have to reboot it by pulling the plug. Has not happened too often with this device but happened all the time with the first one.
Conclusion: Great device for streaming. Money well spent.

Don't need cable

Has access to practically everything you could need to watch whatever you're into. Also interfaces very well. Only complaint I have is the Spotify app hardly suffices and doesn't seem to carry over account information or music preference very well.

I feel the Roku is a great product. My friend is thinking about "cable cutting". I showed her how easy it is to set up Roku. She was not only impressed with the ease of setup, she was amazed with the quality of the picture. I always tell people about Roku. Compared to the other streaming devices out there, I truly feel Roku is the best.

I have the first Roku and working fine but some apps working slow, now I have the Roku 4 and work awesome. Fast and I recommend it to anyone. I take the best desicion...you need a Roku 4 in your home.

I installed the Roku4 last week. It's been working flawlessly and couldn't be more pleased. There is a massive amount of content (some channels better than others). Be prepared to take some time to go over it. Searching by voice is my favorite feature.

Device is quick to set up and loads channels fast. Was very happy with unit until it locked up this morning after one week of ownership. Unit would ocassionally auto speed scroll on its own.? Might have to re-onstall my Roku 3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've only had it for a few weeks but love it. If we see a buffering circle its maybe for a second or two. Our old device would buffer and let you hear the audio.. But it could take 5 minutes sometimes and was so frustrating! This Roku 4 is slim takes up very little space and works wonderfully. Very glad we purchased it.
