We think we died and went to heaven

We live way out in the country. Cable is not an option. We bought the Roku after a friend recommended it. I have been having fun looking at all the options I have to watch on tv now. I have gotten so lost in looking at the channels that I don't watch a lot of tv but once I "find" where my favorites are I'm sure I will be watching a lot of shows I missed by not having cable

I have only had this a few days but so far everything is great. The clarity is as good as regular tv. I am still trying to determine how streaming will effect my Internet bill.

I bought this after fiddling with an android box. Roku is simple and 'just works'. The color depth and quality is top notch too if you are looking for a good 4k device.
Highly recommend this.

We have found many workers from the Roku 1 to the Roku 2 XD the current Roku for seems to be a very great platform with much greater speed and reliability than the previous record we have only come across one issue that is repeatedly a problem that is with the app YouTube when watching it seems to freeze with a regularity other than that we love the speed and reliability of all other apps we are primarily streaming family

Good player, seems outdated

There's no doubt that this player has many features. But it's very clear that the interface is outdated. A refresh through a software update seems necessary for it to compete with the likes of the modern looking Apple TV and Android TV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Rouku 4. Comes with hot buttons on the remote for Netflix, Amazon, SlingTV, and radio. The system is notably faster and takes advantage of the 4K TV channels. I recommend this for anyone who has s 4K TV, or wants to access your channels quickly. Literally took longer to log into Netflix, etc., then it did to set up. If your tired of overpaying for Satellite or cable, go for it! Between 40 air channels, Sling and Netflix I have plenty to watch.

Unit overheats and resets often also I find myself having to use my cell phone as the remote often. I was hoping this unit would be more dependable than the typical blue ray player which has similar streaming issues.
