Have a roku3 and we love it needed a second Roku for other room so bought the 4 my eleven year set it up and reprogrammed it to all our channels.

Big improvement over the 2SD that it replaced. Voice search is nice, and the remote is very nice with the headphones. This makes it easy to watch movies and shows without disrupting others. Runs warm and stays warm even when it should go into an idle sleep mode. I unplug it because I think it's wasting electricity. This is why it lost 1 star. The UI is familiar, but everything is much smoother and faster than before. I'm very happy with Roku overall, and this player in particular. I run sound through an older receiver without hdmi and that leads to another complaint. The amazon optical cable I plugged into the back doesn't lock in. Whether that's a cable problem or a Roku problem, I can't say, but I can say that it locks in to other toslink ports just fine. OTherwise I was able to set everything up in just a few minutes, without even opening the booklet.

Seems to be as good as the Roku 3

I've had this installed for a week now and it's every bit as good as the 3. There are no issues with noise, with losing the signal, or freezing. The picture seems to be a little better, although I haven't connected it properly yet for 4K yet, so I can't comment on that. The content keeps growing, and I use it instead of the tv apps because it's just easier and more user friendly.

Lovin our roku!!

We bought our unit last week, we were looking for alternatives to cable and we were weary about these types of players. Boy we were blown away, no streaming pauses, instant show and they have all our favs. We love it! No more outrageous cable bill for bad programming
