Improved performance

Roku 4 is definitely faster and produces a better picture than Roku 3. The old programs still look a bit pixelated but it is probably due to the original quality. I am talking about TV shows from the 90s. The new stuff looks really good. I have not tried the 4K image because my tv only goes to 1080p but I plan on trying it out.

Great new faster device!

The roku 4 loads faster and doesn't "glitch out" as much as the Roku 3 except for on Sling TV (sling admitted they are having streaming issues). Netflix, BTN2GO, Hulu, M-Go, WWE network & Amazon video work flawlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My first Roku and won't be my last. Very easy to setup and use. The 4K content on 4K Sharp TV was unbelievable!

I purchased the unit a week ago. It is fast and cool looking. The only issue you did to have a HDMI 2.2 port availabiltily you use 4k.
I would recommend this to a friend!

a flawed device

First Roku player I had would not come out sleep mode, returned directly to Roku and when I received the second Roku player the same day after activating the roku4 it too was having trouble and will freeze up and had to unplug to reboot device to get it working again

Roku 4 Hangs up and reboots often

Watching shows through Sling TV ocassionally hangs up and requires reloading or total Roku reboot. Not much 4k shows.

Keep your PS4

I almost returned this two days ago, but my fiance has convinced me to give it more time. I have a PS4 and frankly, that's much better. The only reason we got this was to be able to watch some live TV, sports, and AMC. Unfortunately, most of those go through Sling, which you think would be solid since Roku gave it its own button on the remote; but that app is abomination. Roku, if I didn't have any other streaming device, would be good. But since I do, and as such I am comparing it to those, it falls short. Obviously, a lot falls on the channels and apps you use, and sling in particular is underwhelming.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this last week and I'm happy that I did, I also own the Apple TV and its quality is great but this new roku I could say that exceed my expectations, so easy to setup and start streaming so yes I recommend to buy roku 4 as your new streaming box.
