Wonderful Features Ok Functionality

I bought this Roku 4 a few days ago to upgrade from my Roku 3 and it is great feature wise, and is just as fast as my Roku 3 if not faster, with this being said I do have a few things that I dont like about this Roku 4. The first thing is that it randomly freezes and completely shuts down and will not respond and I have to go unplug it and plug it back in again for it to work. The last couple of things that I would like to mention is that this Roku gets very very hot, and the form factor takes some getting used to since it is about the size of three or four Roku 3's if you were to put them together in the shape of a square however it is pretty thin. All in all I have owned multiple Roku versions and the Roku 4 is a solid unit that needs some refinement.

Impressive Device

I have only downloaded Roku channels that stream free content, and I am thoroughly impressed with the amount available. Roku does a great job of putting them all in one place with a very intuitive front-end interface. If you are paying for other services (i.e. Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime Video, or HBO Now among many others), you can access their content here as well. Roku also seems to be less concerned with pushing to sell it's own content the way Google and Apple tend to do (hence, no Apple media to be found here). I highly recommend you give Roku some serious thought if you're looking to get into the world of internet TV streaming.

Fast & easy to set up!

I cut the cable cord yr.s back, Roku 2,3,& now 4, being the easiest, crystal clear way, to enjoy entertainment when and how you want!! Reliable, add wifi & go! I can't imagine any other way to watch tv!!

Very Good with a Bad

I have had this Roku 4 a while, after buying a 1st gen Roku 2. It is much cleaner, faster, and more up to date. It loads well, and I have used the remote search feature which resulted in the great find of the remote.
The bad is that the remote sometimes goes dormant, like if you are watching a movie, and it take you re-tuning the remote to the Roku to use again. Which is ridiculous.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I added the Roku 4 to four televisions in my home. The connection and activation was very simple. The content and picture quality are second to none.

I like the device alot, it offers many movies and ways to bring demand options with you. Only weak point is the available amount of games, thought it would bring a greater selection. But all around good device
