Fast, user friendly, and excellent quality. The roku 4 is a great buy. Additional perks such as headphones and voice commands are a big plus!

I've had it only a few days but appears to work fine. Unit very warm almost hot. I had to unplug it before it would come on several times?????

So far it has worked flawlessly, only had it a few days, and other than a few shortcomings with Time Warners software I am 100% happy with this box.

Inconsistent performance

Bought this a week ago and thought that improvements over Roku 1 and 2 would mean less opportunities to have to reboot the device or for it to lock up. So far it has locked up and auto rebooted or I have had to unplug it on 5 different occasions in 6 days. I work 10 hour days so it isn't as if I sit at home steaming 24/7. No excuse for what is supposed to be a more powerful device than its predecessors.

Very good for popular national channels

Hoping to drop the cable TV service, we got the Roku 4. Set up is easy but get a good descriptive list of all the channels is extremely time-consuming. Steaming other channels seems to be limited to Youtube. In this area, Apple TV does a better job. Few local TV stations or news are available and most are in major cities.
The quality of the video seems as good as the source.
We are not using the games or apps. feature at this time.

Great features

My daughter bought this for me. I was so excited until I realized that it would only work in the rooms near the main internet box. You need a strong internet signal for this to work with freezing when using it as wireless signal.
