I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to make this purchase especially being an Amazon Prime member I really love my Roku very impressed and I would recommend it to anybody

Super fast beautiful picture

I bought a Roku 2 last year and We just fell in love with it. There are just so many things to watch it beats cable hands down. My husband and I fight over the remote so much that we decided We need another Roku. We bought the Roku 4 and now we fight over it my husband Ioves his westerns on the Roku 4 because it's picture quality is incredible. I love my karate movies on the 4 because it is super fast. The Roku 4 is the best for TV viewing it's like a tiny little satellite dish With thousands of programs to watch all with crystal clear pictures so life like you want to reach out and to them. The Roku 4 is inexpensive and far better than cable we struck gold with this little device.

I'm RETURNING a great player

After exhaustive research I opted for the Roku 4. With things like 4k, the processor, ac wifi, ability to stream Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, and many others without pushing to one or another, I decided to upgrade from an older player. It can play to my old SPDIF optical receiver. And it has USB for my home collection on portable hard drive. The remote is a little limited, but functional. It's much quicker starting up and loading channels. But..........I found it unusable and am returning it. For whatever reason, it doesn't play a few of my mkv files and it's completely unable to play any of my older vob files (a large part of my collection) and it is unable to read any of the subtitles in my hard drive. I had two sessions with level one support and a long one with a level 2. I was given a work-around; I can use handbrake to convert much of my collection to be compatible with the roku. For the time involved, I'll just go back to the old player which plays all my files and subtitles without a problem......albeit a little slow. And I'll just stick with Netflix and forgo Hulu and Amazon for a while. Some day I hope one of the android knockoff players will be able to use VLC, which can handle any file..........or maybe roku can figure out how to do this. Shouldn't be hard since an opensource free player can do it.

We were already part of the Roku family for awhile now. We love how easy it is to navigate the many different channels...definitely a better selection than the other guy's (e.g. GC etc). Great resolution! We're going to give these babies as Christmas gifts!!

documation is very poor

Product is easy to set up and has a lot to offer but documentation is very poor. For example, Figure out how to turn the device on and off with one remote.
