Horrible.. Going back to my roku 3

So unbelievably disappointed in the roku 4 with voice search. The lag is ridiculous. Every time I switch the hdmi input on my television the roku is unrecognized.. I have to get up and reset it every single time. Last night the voice search stopped working altogether. I had to re-sync the remote to pair it to the roku and it still didn't work. Then when I pressed reset it did a factory reset and I had to re-register allllll my information for every platform: roku, Hulu, amazon, Netflix, etc.
In my honest opinion the creators of roku released this product WAY too soon. It should have gone through more trials to work out all the kinks and bugs. Not worth the money, would rather go back to my roku 3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best streaming device I've used!

I got this product for the ac wireless and possible upgrade to 4k when I get a 4k TV. I love this product so far. It has tons of streaming apps, more than I expected. I used to use my PS4 for my streaming, but it's not always hooked up to the living room TV. I dont think I'll ever use anything else now but my Roku. Plus as a bonus, I loose remotes all the time and the remote find feature is sweet!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is 1st standalone streaming device. And, the device's pro reviews meant my expectations. For now this is a great addition to my entertainment equipment.

Roku pros and cons

I only have the Roku 4 for about a week.I can not say how reliable it it is in that short of time.The only thing I an say I had the Amazon fire and now the Roku 4.The only difference between the two is the Roku 4 has a remote finder and ear phones.The Amazon Fire does not have either.The other differences are the subscriptions seam to be less expensive with Amazon Fire and voice recognition on the Roku 4 is not as good as the Amazon Fire.The Amazon Fire is also cheaper than the Roku 4.The Roku 4 has a better remote and the box is bigger.The remote finder and the ear phones are great but if thats not a problem than The amazon fire is just as good

Excellent 4K Streaming Box with simple and easy to use interface...is current the only streaming device to support TABLO

Easier than I imagined!

I think I've had this for around a week or so and I don't know why I waited so long to buy a streaming device! It couldn't have been any easier to install, a monkey could do it blindfolded. It's also very easy to use, although the whole concept takes some getting use to if you've never had a streaming device before.
The only problem I've encountered so far is that it locked up on 2 occasions and I had to disconnect the power to fix it.
I choose Roku over Apple TV because Roku offered more apps and is 4K ready just in case I decide to get a 4K TV but that probably won't happen. I also wish the remote was as awesome as the Apple TV remote but no one can design as well as Apple.
The only volume control on the Roku remote seems to be for the headphones only ....too bad.
Other than those minor cons, I'm satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to others.
