Dont waste your money if you dont have a 4K TV!!

I only had the Roku4 for a few days. It was my first streaming device purchase so I did so with getting the best they had to offer. The minute differences between the Roku devices is what made me return it and get a Roku2. With the same apps and the software update the only thing that separates it is voice controlled remote and 4K TV compatibility. I can still do searches and use the apps on my phone or tablet with voice control so the need for it on the remote was unnecessary. The device was nice but I was able to purchase 2 of the Roku 2's for the same price as the 4 and have one in the bedroom too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Roku3 is better at the moment

I bought this for the 4K. Picture is awesome. Bad news is I have to unplug the unit and restart every time I want to start the unit. Buy the 3 intill the bugs are worked out. For the rest, lets hope an update can fix it. If not strike 2. Roku 2 had the same problem minus picture.

Slow when streaming from apps

I love Roku, but this new Roku 4 seems to struggle with the apps. It seems like when I'm running Hulu, Netflix, and others that it just won't stream. Sometimes the app will crash, or the stream freezes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We weren't sure what to expect because of our dependency on cable for so many years. It was easy to install and even easier to use. Thank you for giving us an option besides cable.
