Great Streaming device!

Roku is the best streaming product on the market. I have owned smart TVs and other streaming devices that was very limited on choice and content. Roku gives me more choices and flexibility on my entertainment choice. I have five Rokus, 3 sticks, a Ruko 4 and a Roku 3.

i like the player but i wish that when you get on the site online that they would put upfront the cost of each program choice so you know if you want to subscribe or not being on a fixed income we have to budget as social security doesnt stretch very far and the dish networks and cable is out of sight on pricing

Had roku 2 and wanted to upgrade and glad I did. Faster to load and upconversion capability gives a clearer picture than roku 2 on my 1080p projector!

I retired my Roku 3 to one of my less used TVs and replaced it with my new Roku4. Excellent quality picture and it makes me ready for the new 4k Tv to come.

Not too impressive

I hooked the R4 to my new Samsung UHD TV. After a few starts and stops it was able to update to the latest software and apps. The picture quality is nice on the 4k content, but very underwhelming when I view 1080 content or older SD content. Hooked the R3 back up and looks much better w 1080 and SD content. Checked all my settings on R4 and TV, but not happy with content less than 4k.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No Problem

I have had the Roku 4 for a week. It works great with high quality picture & sound. I could not set screen type as 4K since it plays through Bose Sound-bar which is not HDMI 2.2 compliant. Screen type setting 1080P seems to produce 4K quality. Many reviews complain about fan noise and heat. This is not a problem with my unit. It is barely warm to the touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could be better

I owned 2 other roku 3 which are really reliable and consistent with the performance, but it's not the same story for the roku 4, have it for about a month now and I have to constant hard reset the unit almost everyday for it to work, sometime it just froze and then black screen, pull power and plug it in it work, or when o don't use the unit overnight, the next morning its not turning on, and again have to pull power and it work after that. Hopefully roku can come out with some software update to fix it.

Excellent-- but could be better

Easy to install, great picture quality and sound, intuitive user interface. My only wish is that the remote buttons were back-lighted. There is nothing more frustrating than interrupting an enjoyable show by hitting the wrong button when the light level is too low to read the button labels.
