Will run through series with out shutting ROKU off causing me to have to reset ROKU. Very frustrating!

Great Box But I Turned it in for the Roku 3

I wanted to like the Roku 4, and I did - better than the Apple TV 4th Generation - but in the end I swapped it out for a Roku 3. I was intrigued by the memory and the quad core processor. I liked the remote finder. I liked its low profile, despite its size. But the features I really care about - speed, voice search, expandability - were all there in the Roku 3. And while I don't have a UHDTV, I was willing to pay the extra $30 for what some reported to be a better picture. But when I compared all three devices (the Apple TV, the Roku 3 and the Roku 4) the Roku 3 actually had the best picture quality. While all three were sharp and crystal clear, the Roku 3 had more vibrant color than the Roku 4, which looked better than the Apple TV. Don't ask me why. I ran them against each other, comparing both stills and running video. In each comparison, the Roku 3 had a more satisfying color representation. If the Roku 3 and the Roku 4 had produced identical results, I would have bought the Roku 4 for its support of 4K video. But when the Roku 3 consistently produced better color, it was a no-brainer. My wife saw the difference and was adamant that we stick with the Roku 3.

Sometimes, the TV screen stop due to overheat. The machine generates too much heat. It is required to redesign the product and change the CPU as well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the speed of this new roku every thing loads fast and the video quality is very nice,I dont have a 4k tv yet but i hope to get one soon so i can enjoy the 4k aspects of it

I received my Roku 4 last week and hooked it up and it is amazing . The clarity is good streams well and lot of options far as channels and games. I recommend this device.

Good and Bad

I own (4) WD TV boxes, (5) WD TV Live boxes, and a Zinwell media player.. The Roku 4 is my 11th media player. I feel like the Roku presents everything much nicer than my other media players. I love the voice search, and when I misplace the remote, that locating feature will really come in handy.
What disappoints me is that I cannot access directly my NAS media. That is, media files that are accessible via my home network. In order to use those files with the Roku, I will have to install media server software and I think, rearrange my filing system. This is no small task with what I have.
My WD TV Live boxes play my files with no additional software needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

easy to install

have had only one week easy to install,no problems navigating around to find selections,voice activation seems to work just fine,very happy with my RUKO so far.
