For me, not so great

I was excited to use this with my 4K TV, but after connecting it to the HDMI channel that supported HDCP 2.2, the Roku wouldn't let me choose the 4K option. Tried all different combinations of powering up/down the TV before/after connecting the Roku. Then, magically it connected. To me, the picture quality for upscaled 4K looked worse than through my Roku 3. And it locked up. Often. Enough was enough. Sent it back. Stilling the Roku 3 on the 4K TV. Looks great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's been o.k. not as good as I hoped it would be but could be much worse. It has to stop and load constantly which is a little annoying but it's got all the channels we love best and most are free so that makes it great!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product. Three disappointments.

Only had installed for one week and have not surfed many channels yet. Roku 4 does what it is supposed to do. Easy set up and easy to use interface. Also using to stream music from a home PLEX media server.
Three items I am not happy with:
1. When watching a program there's is no way to check other items such as settings, or surf other channels. You have to back out and then to resume start all over again.
2. Needs a resume function to easily go back to what was previously playing.
3. Does not pass DD 5.1 through the optical audio connection to my AVR. (I do not have an HDMI AVR).

I bought this for my daughter last week & she loves it
She can watch Netflix, YouTube etc on her tv & not disturb others in the house because of the included headphones!

Best purchase I've made pertaining to home entertainment. This ROKU4 is so easy to setup. Say goodbye to buffering issues once and for all.
