this is my second review on this ROKU4, i should have bough another ROKU3, no trouble from the ROKU3 that i have, this ROKU4 needs to be unplugged to start everyday!! i have reset it already,reset my modem,changed my hdmi cable,put new batteries in remote, i don't have the box it came in,otherwise i would send it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am a big fan so far. More channels would be nice. My bigger complaint is the always on. It messes with the auto off on my TV. Additionally - I am not sure I get why the remote is overly simplified. Seems like you could do more there to make things like typing in emails and passwords much easier by making the remote a little bit more sophisticated.
BIGGEST COMPLAINT: Why have a micro SD card slot if you can't stream movies or music from it. I get it that you wanted it there to store games on but lets be honest - the games you have available aren't worth the $$ you want and the micro SD is wasted.

Bought this when our WII system started to crash. Loads fast. however the screen trends to distort from time to time, never happened before the roku player was hooked up, but didn't happen till recently. Sometime the player plays the sound on a show while the screen is stuck on the loading circle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased a Roku 4 to watch basic TV channels on Time Warner Cable using their app instead of a digital adapter box.

This is my 3rd Roku and I love it even more than the previous ones. Tons of channels and free which means I am able to say goodbye to cable bills. Get it, you won't regret it.

User friendly with great features!

I recently bought the Roku 4 player as I am preparing to "cut the cord." Set-up was super-easy and I can get content from Amazon, Netflix, Sling, and Hulu (all of which I now subscribe to) along with many other channels. This along with my OTA antenna and OTA DVR make my system complete!
