I bought this device 2 weeks before and it works great with my 4K UHD samsung TV. It's very easy to setup and remote with headphone slots makes it very special that i was actually looking for to watch my favorite series, cricket at late night without disturbing my family.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could use programmable short cut buttons

Works well with the apps I use, Netflix, Tablo, and Amazon. For some reason it features a useless Rdio short cut button on a new unit just out of the box. Would be nice if the button could be used for something else, for that reason I have to give this product 3/5 stars. There really is no excuse for shipping a product that isn't up-gradable, but the overall functionality is great! Love the functionality the rest of the remote contains.

I was nervous when I read about the "problem with fan noise." Happy to tell you that it's been taken care of. I have to strain to hear it. Now, I don't have a 4K TV (yet) so I can't speak to that, but I can say that I really enjoy the voice search and the remote locator. It sounds ridiculous, but we have young kids and they tend to leave the remote all over the place, so the locator feature is truly a game changer for our family. speaking of the remote, it has a much sturdier design. A plus since my 6 year old was banging it on the coffee table before I even had it connected. Don't shy away. It's great.

I don't like you control because you can't program it or control you tv or amp. Volume. I'm thinking to take back to the store.

So far out of the small selection of Roku units I have owned, this has been my favorite. I like that there is 4K60 (10 bit) as a resolution option. However, the 2 apps that can allow you to watch DolbyVision content, do not seem to be passing the DV information in the Netflix or VUDU app on the Roku 4. The Roku 4 is passing the Dolby Atmos data, but no 10bit content that I can see at this point. If this passed DolbyVision/HDR10 and Dolby Atmos, I would give this 10 stars.

I bought my Roku 4 about a week ago to replace another streaming system from another company that stopped working. My new Roku 4 is so above my former system that it is like waking up ten years in the future. The voice search is great and very handy. The wide choice of channels is amazing and I love the fact that Roku does not allow the one app that froze out my old system. Thank you Roku!
