Bought the Roku 4 to replace a 2XD. The 2XD was ~7-8 years old and was showing it's age with some apps. The 4 is blazing fast! Great with Sling TV.

Apple guy here and made the leap of faith from AppleTV to the Roku4. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it, but other than the less than stellar interface, my biggest complaint is the MLB.TV app being very unstable on the Roku. MLB.TV blames Roku and Roku blames MLB.TV even though every other app seems to work really well on the Roku. Also, I still have an older AppleTV in another room and MLB.TV works flawlessly on it. So who knows.

I recertly bought the roku 4 and replaced the new 2016 roku stick, and I must say this roku 4 is snappy I have no complaints. It works flawlessly never hangs up on anything. Plus the interface is simple and easy to use. This is a great device for future proofing your tv set up for 4k.

Most Convenient and fastest way to stream content

I bought this earlier this week after continuing to have speed issues, lack of getting the apps I want, and audio issues. I am very happy. Great lay out. Customizable. Access to all apps I want. I love the remote even though I wish I could program the buttons and put on pictures of the ones I use more. The headphone input on the remote is good although I wish it worked longer range and didn't start clipping. Otherwise lots of great free apps for movies and I was able to use 100% of apps I was looking for. Doesn't support 3D on VUDU was the only big frown for me.

I bought this about 3 months ago. It is better than air tv but not quite what I thought it would be. Mine freezes up and the rewind/fast forward needs much improvement. It takes you way to far. If you had cable or satellite maybe it would be better since so many channels require you to have one of those to view it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently purchased the Roku 4. I love it! It was super easy to set up and it's easy to use by everyone. I was able to quickly find the apps / channels I wanted, even smaller / newer channels like Film Festival Flix. I plan to purchase additional boxes for the other rooms in my home.
