One Glaring Problem

Works well except for the power on issues. If you put it to sleep the remote will not wake it up. HBO GO and HBO NOW both don't stream. I had hoped this Roku 4 would remedy the problems my Roku 2&3 faxefaced with this. Otherwise I don't see much improvement over the Roku 3.

We have 2 Roku 3, and needed to add another so I bought the Roku 4. Just in case we upgrade the existing HD set to a 4K set. I don't know what is better about this one other than the 4K. But any way it works fine.

I upgraded from a Roku 3 That was 3 years old, the 4 is very big, compared to my 3. I don't know why the remote has rdio button on it as that channel is no longer available.

good looking 4k output

I bought a Roku3 first and then the Roku4 when it came out. My first 4 had a fan noise develop, they replaced it under warranty. new one is fine. These are both substantial products. I have a nice Directv package but they are late to the 4k party, Roku is eating their cake. Even the Roku3 had output that the upscaling on my LG 4k tv would work with, the 4 is better

My New Roku 4

My 2nd Roku and bought this one for the 4k feature to compliment my new 4k TV. At first it did not let m use the 4k setting so I had to do a factory reset. After doing that I got the dreadful purple screen, I had to unplug my TV for a minute and then it went away and I started enjoying my Roku 4

Great Improvement

Although I dont use and cant comment on the gaming functions, all other functions appear to be significantly better then my ROKU 2. Picture quality now mates well with television pictyre capability.

One Flaw Trumps Impressive Streamer

This is the second Roku 4 I've purchased. The first I returned because the sound and picture were out of synchronization. I had hoped it was a bug in that particular unit, but the second player displayed the same issue. I suspect it has something to do with sending the audio through my amplifier, then to the display, but the Rokus 2 and 3 I own do not exhibit out of synch audio at any time. Too bad. Otherwise, the Roku 4 would be perfect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
