I've had two Roku's before this one and the same easy setup and interface is true for this model. It does look like a pancake, but it is growing on me!

Great Addition to the Home Theater

I upgraded my home theater to a 4k projector and added the Roku 4 to the system. The quality of the streaming video is amazing. Since getting it we hardly use the BluRay player.

I had to switch from my Apple TV to a device that could more freely stream my media. Roku 4 is fast, intuitive, customizable, and ridden with features. Compared to the Apple TV, this thing is awesome. One of the best features is the headphone jack in the remote. It mutes the TV while allowing you to listen to what you're watching at a high volume. It doesn't take time to select the channel you want (like Netflix or Plex) and have the channel open to the menu. It's very fast. Some of the channels seem trivial, but most of the channels are useful.

I'm trying out all the different streaming devices. I'm a huge Apple fan but have to say I prefer the Roku because of ease of hookup and use, plus easy availability of Amazon Prime which you don't have with Apple. I also have smart tv's and the Roku is ready to go almost instantly, where the tv's take a bit to load. I know this all goes back to my internet, but the Roku loads much better. Very nice selection of channels. Highly recommend.
