We were one of the first to buy a TiVo and loved the simplicity, quirkiness and ease of use. for almost the same reasons we love our Roku's, yes plural as we know have the 2 and 4 series. I recently lost most of my hearing and rely heavily on headphones to watch TV. The headphone jack in the R4 Rc is a go send. You don't know how difficult something like wireless listening of TV can be to get right.
The interface of the Roku is easy to use and the options available are excellent. we use the Plex server a lot, which works perfectly. Then Netflix and some favourite free and subscription based channels. Value for money the Roku is unbeatable!

I bought this even after reading other buyers comments about the fan being noisy. Not so with the one I received. Still in the review stage.

LOVE OUR ROKU(S)!

We love our Roku player, this is our third. We purchased one years ago then got a second TV so purchased one for that TV and then upgraded the first one to the newer version and gave the original to our daughter. IT IS AWESOME!

I bought this to have my HBO GO, Netflix, Amazon, all in one convenient package and I got so much more than that! I only wish the integrated search feature could be used within specific applications, example "I hold the button and say what i'm searching for, then the gui asks if i want to search all channels or just the channel i am already in"

Just got it about a month ago and it works fantastic! Feels a little hot and for the price would like if it had an attachment included to attach to the back of the tv
