Very fast, also hot and louder than previous gen

The picture and speed of the Roku 4 is awesome. I didn't realize at purchase time but this Roku has a fan, so its not perfectly silent. You usually never hear it but its there. The first Roku that I received, overheated several times therefore I heard the fan a lot. Customer support was great and got a new unit out to me in 3 days, this unit is working perfectly and I very occasionally will hear the fan. Just something for those to be aware of if they have a super silent setup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for HD Audio

The "Audio Return (ARC)" on my TV/Receiver will not pass HD Audio and as a result, Dolby Atmos upmixer and Dolby Atmos won't work when I use the internal "smarthub" in the TV for streaming video. Using the Roku4 for streaming to my HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2 compliant receiver and TV means I can have streaming HD Audio, including Dolby Atmos when the stream has it.

Still Missing Channels

We want Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel available on Roku without requirement of a cable provider. We have no problem paying a monthly fee to access both of these channels on Roku and have access to their unlimited content. Roku needs to make a deal with Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel to be the first and only company to allow Roku consumers to access these channels without a cable provider. Then I guarantee Roku 4 will be the best streaming device and worthy of 5 stars!

Enjoying the Roku 4 experience. Only wish - it was a fanless design, not very loud - but concerned about longevity. Other than that - keep up the good work!

The channel options are abundant, the interface is fast and smooth, and the controller and apps are easily usable...what's not to like? Oh and did I mention that the Wireless AC spec and loaded internal RAM make this little black box blazingly fast? Well...they do!

Roku 4 is a very fast streaming player . I bought a 4K smart tv but I like Roku so much that I had to get a Roku 4 for it. I have 9 tvs in my home and I like Roku so much that 7 of the 9 have a Roku on them and the other 2 don't need a Roku 3 or 4 because they are Roku tvs.
