COMPLETE HTPC

I have had the Roku 4 for a month now and let me tell you...
I have had a Big VHS collection and moved onto DVD/Blu Ray's and now the final...
All digital! My personal collection is over 10.000 films and over 100 complete TV series and the Roku 4 plays them all via PLEX and Roku's player! Now add all the channels Roku offers and now my retirement only needs an internet connection! I have really put the Roku 4 through the ringer and it beats EVERYTHING on the market!

Poor video quality

I was replacing a blu-ray player that I had been using primarily for streaming video and picked a Roku 4. The video quality of the blu-ray was fine with sharp HD sporting events, movies, and shows. The video quality of the Roku 4 was not nearly as sharp with many playback stops and grainy pictures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great selection of channels

I dumped cable. Bought a roku. I wish I would have done it sooner. I have the channels I want. And pay for the channels I want. It's simple and inexpensive.

Can't beleive Roku eliminated the 8 second replay

Can't beleive Roku eliminated the 8 second replay button, perhaps the one we use the very most on all our other Roku units. This is especially important for channels like Hulu with reverse modes that can't bring you back in a program by less than 2 minutes. And perhaps worst of all, without the instant replay button, the temporary caption feature upon replay is also disabled. Ultimately ended up having to buy a separate Roku 3 remote and paring it with the new Roku 4 in order to recover this feature. Also wish Roku offered a caption time-offset feature, allowing the captions to be slightly advanced or delayed, as is offered on some other boxes. Aside from these two problems, the Roku 4 works just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku 4 runs great need to fix wake up from sleep

The Roku 4 seems to work fairly well. There is a lot of content and the picture quality is great. The only issue I have is that the remote doesn't always wake up/turn on the device. I have to press the remote finder on the device to turn it on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
