Almost all of the apps out there

I've had the Roku 4 for almost a month now. It replaced my Google Nexus. It has a lot more apps then the Nexus player does, but it's missing 1 very important one to me and that's the fox sports app. Need to get that app fast. Would've been 5 Stars. I hate having to re login to apps all of the time not sure if that's an issue with the app or not but it sucks.

Most practical way to access 4k Content

I recently upgraded to a 4k television and I wanted access to whatever 4k content was available. I usually use my PS4 as a media hub, but the PS4 isn't 4k capable (neither is my A/V receiver).
So I was limited to the apps that came with my television for 4k content, and my television didn't come with amazon prime, ultraflix, or fandango now.
Also, when I used the netflix app that came built into my TV, my receiver couldn't handle the new Dolby Atmos sound the app had built in. So, the only way I could get volume through my speakers was to select "stereo sound" in netflix (which was not ideal).
With the Roku 4k, I have access to just about every 4k source out there. And the Roku lets me select which audio type I want it to send to my receiver, so I can enjoy my surround sound no matter what source I'm using.
Overall I love the product. However, the Amazon Prime app crashes pretty consistently, and that's annoying. Also, the "private listening" feature that allows you to plug headphones into your remote so you can watch TV at night without waking your family is mostly worthless. I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear, and the sound quality is not great.

I bought it a few weeks ago when I upgraded to a 4k tv. Even if you have a 1080p tv but plan on getting a 4k at some point, spend the money and get the Roku 4. I alsonly have the Roku 3, and the 4 is considerably faster when navigating menus. I lovedon't my 3, and I love the 4 even more.

We absolutely love it. Saving us over $100 a month. It's now our choice where to spend our money! I just miss getting local news, and the whole Fox news TV.

Upgraded from ROKO 1. Greatly improved TV resolution. Apparently I was running TV at 720. Amazing clarity now.

Love my roku 4 as I have a 4K tv and there is a dedicated app for online 4K content. Lots of other apps available, many I have never heard of, some of which I love. However I hate the remote! Poorly designed as the enter button is in a bad spot & as the remote is not backlights , you hit it when trying to navigate.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Main selling point for me was the optical audio output to hook up device to my surround sound. I've been really impressed by the Roku 4 so far.
