Should have gotten sooner!

We recently cancelled our satellite tv and are streaming now using Roku and we love it! Should have switched over sooner .... Recommend to anyone who wants to lower their TV bill.

Remote Doesn't Always Power It.

The remote is unreliable when it comes to turning the Roku on. Apparently, the Roku team hasn't found a solution, but the Roku player, when on, is awesome.

Great Interface, Okay Hardware

I've had this Roku 4 for a few months now. The interface is easy to use and the channel selection is amazing. However, HDMI handshake issues, remote wake up issues, and the headphones packaged with the device usually quitting after a half hour of use have lost it a star (I've tried other headphones that don't seem to cut out at all).
If the issues could be fixed, I'd definitely say the Roku is head and shoulders above the rest. Maybe even better with a built-in app to mirror iDevices too.

I bought this about a month ago and couldn't be more pleased with it. We've been using a PS3 for streaming for years and as nice as that was, the Roku4, being designed specifically for streaming, is just an incredibly huge jump ahead in both features and convenience. My only gripe would be lack of a power button on the unit and remote. It sometimes seems slow to wake up after the auto shutdown kicks in. Also, you may want to go to the settings and set the cooling fan to run more often, as the unit can get a bit warm when in use for long periods.
