I bought 2 Roku 4s to replace satellite service that was getting too expensive for the programing we watch. So far I have been pleased with them. The headphone jack on the remote is an awesome feature, but I would like to be able to program the remote to control the TV.

Best 4K Digital Streaming Device For The $$

The Roku4 currently has the most complete collection of 4K content available. Unlike most streaming devices that are designed to force the user to a specific vendor app, Roku continues to have the most complete selection across all content providers and is by far the best value for the cost.

Love except the batteries often come loose. Not sure why happens . We have had 1-3 prior to to the 4 and never was a issue before

We just bought the Roku 4 for our second 4K tv and it is FASSSSST! Brilliant pictures and we just love it plain and simple, we will always purchase ROKU!

I bought it a couple of weeks ago and it seems to work fine. However, if you have a 3, I not sure you should pay the higher price for this.

Roku gives you the freedom to enjoy

I started off with the Roku 3 and found it easy and the set up made sense because I configured it to my liking. I chose the channels I wanted, the order I chose, the audio and video settings and more. The Roku 4 gave me more of this plus more. The 4 model gives us 4K capabilities. VUDU for instance never looked better. The addition of remote locator also is very useful and much needed. I use the Roku 4 more than my Fios tv. However Roku 4 is not without its bugs. Youtube is still incapable of surround sound. The remote is temperamental and isn't 100% reliable. The system itself tends to freeze up with the need to unplug and plug back in in order to work again. This is my second Roku 4 player, the first one had to be returned. I bought and returned Amazon Fire TV. That system doesn't give you any freedom. You have channels that are mandatory, and a lineup that is immovable. If there is a streaming channel out there, Roku lets you add it, even independent/bootleg channels. You can start your own streaming channel and watch it on Roku. Amazon Fire TV is limited and I find that very restricting. the Google stick is even worse, anything you wish to watch has to be downloaded to your phone or tablet in order to view it on the screen. Roku is blazing the trail still as it did at the start of the age of streaming, and the features on Roku 4 are unmatched. While the Roku 3 is much more reliable as far as performance, I feel the 4 is working out the bugs rather rapidly.
