Love it but it does overheat/freeze occasionally

This is the best Roku yet! Love the picture quality and performance. The downside is that this little toaster oven needs to be sitting out in the open and well ventilated. Otherwise, it will overheat and lock up.

This is my second Roku, having had the Roku 3 for two-and-a-half years. I love my Roku - it allows me to watch a lot of British shows, which are my favorites. However, I had previously had trouble with the headphones. I replaced the remote and headphones twice trying to be able to hear without static. With the new Roku 4 I'm not having any trouble at all, and everything is nice and clear.

Persistent problem

The Roku 4 needs some work before it is ready for prime time. The only way to keep the unit from going into a coma is to disable the sleep mode. When it goes into the sleep mode the only way to wake it up is to unplug it and then power it back up. Numerous people have this complaint online, so I am not alone. I am confident a firmware update will fix this some day. I love the unit otherwise.

Seamless Transition

We've had our Roku 4 for a little over a month now. The transition has been VERY seamless. The setup was very simple and fast. We had one minor glitch with the TV talking to the Roku, but a quick power down and power back up of both units solved it in a second.

Good but with some quirks !

Pros: 4K support, fast, lots and lots of channels like any other Roku
Cons: Unit and remote do not talk to each other regularly. The software gets frozen very often. The remote is unable to wake up the unit. The find remote feature works 1 in 10 times.

Great little device

I got this device and it is very warm. The quality of the video is good but did not "blow me away" yet. I have a 4k tv and was hoping to see some "upconverting" possibly. Also with Amazon Prime it likes to stutter yet I have great internet.

I love the flexibility and quick response of Roku 4. My old Roku had a few minor problems that I am happy to no longer see. Thanks for a great streaming device!

We were given Roku4 as a gift as we were having difficulty streaming movies, etc. When I went to connect Roku4 I had difficulty - Roku support staff were so wonderful in helping me resolve the issue and followed up to see that the situation had been resolved. Thank you for great customer service that is so hard to find these days!!
