I bought my Roku 4 a few weeks ago ,very happy with it get the programs I want and more movies picture is very clear. The price was very reasonable good all around.

Poor performance

Moved from a roku 3 to the 4. So many problems, issues streaming 4k with red lines and flashes of green while watching Netflix. Unnecessary branding on the remote plus it's very stiff. I should've stayed with my roku 3.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No more Direct TV

We have been waiting for Roku to pick up the PlayStation Vue app. When they did, we ordered the Roku 4. With prices on cable and satellite being too high, we wanted PS Vue. Sling didn't offer as good of a channel lineup. We have owned a Roku 3 for a while now, and have been very happy with it's performance. So far the 4 has been better than the 3 in speed (lags a little on 4k content, but that's probably my network). Would like to see a little improvement on the PlayStation Vue app. Navigating is pretty rough/confusing. The app is not very user friendly. It needs a better guide to help you know what channel you are watching or searching for. Of course, this may be a Sony design issue, and not a Roku problem.
Overall, we are pretty pleased with the 4.

I bought this a couple months ago, and while I like that it can handle 4K content, I feel like my Roku3 performs better than the Roku4 in all other areas.

I loved my Roku 3 and now I love my 4. Fast action, insurmountable channel selection, quick and easy search for what you want when you want it. It's the best choice streaming addition to the family room.
