The Roku 4 is a considerable upgrade from earlier models. It is faster and delivers outstanding video. I have a 4K Smart TV and no other device, including the TV itself delivers such great quality.

Nice upgrade from Roku 2

Bought unit for better compatability with 4k tv. Unit has faster connectivity & signal stability. It would be a useful feature it the remote control had a backlight to see controls while watching shows.

Roku 4 is a downgrade.. not impressed!

I wish I hadn't given away my Roku 3. It was far smaller and hidden behind my TV. It was also faster. The fact it goes into sleep mode is an improvement and I like the slim look of the unit but I'm really dissapointed in any so called speed improvement. IF anything, its slower and I use a direct calble ethernet connection so its the unit. I have the fan enabled and that works but again its just ok... The only difference between the Roku 3 & 4 is the newer unit (4) is a bit slower. I have one major complaint - the power cord on all your players are way too short. Its ridiculous to assume that a power outlet is within 3-4 feet of the unit!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
