Not reliable as Roku 3

I have a Roku 3 that is great and had high expectations when Roku 4 was launched. This product is not as good as its first generation. Here are some of the issues my Roku 4 has:
1- Image flickers, especially in the first couple of minutes after I turn it on. I am convinced is a problem with the device since I have tried 4 different HDMI cables and 4 different inputs, and two different TVs.
2- The transition between apps is slower, and often times freezes the screen.
3-It warms up faster even when not using 4K streaming.
I bought it three months ago and I hope to have these issues fixed it.

Fast & easy

I bought a ROKU 4 to replace a Blue Ray player I had been using to watch Netflix, VUDU, Amazon etc. It is amazing how much faster and efficient the ROKU is in comparison. Now I have replaced 4 out of 5 cable boxes in my house with ROKU's.
We still pay for cable, but the extra cost each month for additional cable boxes is a waste of money. The ROKUs will pay for themselves in less than 12 months.

Beyond my expectations

Besides a convenient interface, my Roku 4 gives me access to more streaming networks than would be possible just through the internet. Many specialized services, dozens of feeds, able to personalize and create my own selections. Sorry I waited so long. And can't wait for more sources to join.

Great product horrible remote!

I have owned 3 Roku 2 XS models for years and always loved them. They always just worked with little to no fuss. So I was expecting the same from my new Roku 4. However the remote is a huge disappointment. nearly daily, even more some days the remote disconnects and I have to reboot the Roku to get it to reconnect. I have tried to contact customer service, but since I can always get it to reconnect the don't find anything wrong. May try something different next time.

Looking for something to complement my new smart TV without use of cable. However would recommend an off and on button to turn the player off when not in use.

I bought this about a month ago to get away from cable and satellite tv. With this my bill is over a hundred dollars less and the quality of the picture is amazing. Great way to break free from cable!
