I got rid of cable a month ago and am very pleased with my new channels, ease of use and all the $ I'm saving!!!!

Sound issue...

Everything works fine; I like that you can turn the power off.
The problem is that the unit seems to "reset" randomly (not back to the boot screen, but the HDMI signal drops and reconnects.
The sound (through optical) also randomly drops and won't come back without a reboot.

Better than paying cable/satellite!

The Roku was purchased to replace Satellite. What pushed me to the Roku was having Playstation Vue available. Although the Roku version does not have the guide, I'm hoping that is added soon.
The Roku as a whole is relatively easy to figure out, but it would have been nice to have an owner's manual. Picture and sound quality is good, but I do wish it had 5.1 capabilities. Picture is 1080P, which is the limitation of my TV. It does tend to cut in and out occasionally, more so than my Netflix and Amazon that is run through my DVD player.

No Guide

I have a roku 4. Just canceled my directv. The picture quaily is excellent but no guide. I'm a cord cutter and just ordered Playstation Vue service. My ps4 and firestick both have guides so i'm getting a firetv box and putting the roku in my kids room.

I like the new Roku 4

I had a Roku 3 and was looking at the new Roku 4 as an upgrade. Overall I was very pleased with new player. The only problem is the new design. So now I have to reset up my equipment but that's ok the new player works great and I'm glad I got it.

The roku 4 is easy to set up and use. P.I.A. to log on to channels to set up with
login and pass words. The unit does get very warm so I turn it off when done watching t.v. which is not convenient. I do wish the unit turned itself off after so many minutes of non play.

Great, but be sure you're ready

This is a great product, as are the other Roku units. However, if you want to watch 4K streaming, be sure you're ready with compatible components through the entire audio and video chain. (Be sure everything meets HDPC 2.2 standards.) I didn't fully understand this, since I have an HDPC 2.0 TV, which I thought was "good enough." The video is still outstanding, but not as good as I thought it would be.
