I purchased the unit a month ago and use it everyday. Was slightly disappointed the last show being watched is not saved. You need to start from the beginning. No previously watched functionality.

Great features

My husband loves ROKU 4! Love the earphones! It's hard for him to hear to stay focused.. now with the ear phones plugging into the remote.. the family won't be going deaf anytime soon plus the remote won't go missing! It's so easy to go from one channel to thensure next.

No consistency across apps

I have an Apple TV last generation. I decided to purchase a Roku for my other TV as it supports 4K.
Seems like there are no guidelines for app developers in the Roku and allnapps behave totally diferent ... Even the Keyboards are different across apps.
The only plus I see for the Roku is having the Amazon Prime support. I am considering selling it on eBay at a loss.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not what we expected.

I originally had a Roku 1, which I thought was great. So we bought a Roku 4, thinking the apps would work. Our issue was with the USA Network app which we had problems with for quite sometime. We worked with a customer service rep who was good at giving us lots of options, but after our complaint was pushed to "tier 2" attention, we never heard back from Roku. So we exchanged our Roku for an Apple TV and haven't looked back. There are too many bugs and glitches with some of the apps, and this just leads to frustration. Hopefully it will be resolved soon. Plus the picture isn't as clear as with our AppleTV.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE IT!

I love my Roku! In fact, I now have 2 of them. We pulled the plug on Satellite TV and now are using over-the-air antennas and 2 Rokus! I'd highly recommend doing the same! Saves a ton of money and we don't miss satellite TV one bit!
